Humco Gentian Violet 2% is a topical liquid solution formulated with gentian violet for external use. It is labeled as an antiseptic and is indicated for the external treatment of abrasions, minor cuts, surface injuries, and superficial skin infections. The formula contains 2% Gentian Violet along with alcohol and purified water. It comes in a 2 fl oz plastic bottle, equivalent to approximately 59 mL. The solution has an intense violet color and may stain skin and clothing. It is intended for topical application and is not intended for internal use.
