African laundry hampers bring modern artisan craftsmanship to homes. Handwoven by an association of over 100 rural Wolof women in Senegal, these storage baskets are constructed using the coil style. Dried cattail stalks are bound with plastic strips salvaged from a Dakar mat factory. This combination of natural and synthetic materials displays African artistry. Each basket is sold singly. As a handcrafted item, expect slight variations.
