Aion Skincare Hydrating Gel is a uniquely versatile product. Before the shave, it may be combined with our Preshave to extend and enhance the softening, moisturizing effect. During the shave, add a drop or two to your brush after soap or cream, then lather as usual on your face or in a bowl. After the shave, combine with the Nourishing Balm or any moisturizer you have on hand. Can even be combined with an alcohol-based aftershave to fight drying.

The secret is a combination of humectant ingredients called NMF, Natural Moisturizing Factor. Humectant ingredients attract and hold water. These ingredients are “skin-identical,” identical to ingredients naturally found in the skin. The Hydrating Gel contains an abundance of these skin-identical, humectant ingredients, the most important of which are Sodium PCA and Hyaluronic Acid. Saccharide Isomerate is an adjunctive ingredient that also has a humectant effect. Thus, the Hydrating Gel works specifically on the most important factor for maintaining and restoring skin health damaged during the process of shaving: retaining natural moisture.
