The Mosaic Fray Patch Placemat is a handcrafted textile designed to protect dining surfaces. Each placemat is constructed from repurposed vintage sari fabrics, featuring a patchwork of varying green hues. The edges are intentionally left to fray and are secured with Kantha embroidery, a traditional stitch from Bengal. This technique, characterized by running stitches, is applied by hand, resulting in a unique pattern on each piece. The placemats are reversible, offering dual styling options. Due to the nature of the materials and the handmade process, slight variations in color and texture are to be expected, making each placemat one of a kind. This set includes two placemats.
